2015 is the turn of Singin’ in the Rain a classical musical about the golden age of cinema and when the silent movies became vocal.

It is 1920s Hollywood with all the charm, romance and of course comedy. Don Lockwood (Graham MacDuff) is the romantic lead with his leading lady Lina Lamont (Jenny Gayner) who can act but - cannot sing and has an irritating voice to say the least.

Lina believes her screen romance with Don is real but Don falls in love with Kathy (Carolyn Maitland) an aspiring actress who can sing and act beautifully. The fun begins but I will let you discover what happens.

The classic ballads are all here - Make ‘Em Laugh, You were meant for me and Singin’ in the Rain. The theatre has it’s own surprise with the rain. The production had a standing ovation for a fantastic night out which was well deserved.
