Peter Whelan’s moving and uplifting play provides a beautiful evocation of Elizabethan England, as it reveals the secret life of Shakespeare’s daughter, based upon real events in Stratford-upon-Avon in the summer of 1613.

Director James Dacre is looking for girls aged between 6 and 8 years old to play the role of Shakespeare’s granddaughter, who makes two short appearances in the play, and has some lines to say.

The three young actors will rotate between performances. The girls need to have good concentration and acting ability. There will be some early evening rehearsals in weeks commencing 18 and 25 January, with some daytime rehearsals the following week.

Children must be available for rehearsals and performances as scheduled until the show finishes on 27 February.
