The original and Best VW Fest, VWAction

Now in its 47th year, VW Action is a true enthusiasts paradise and a fabulous, fun-filled weekend for families alike. Right at the heart of VW Action is a huge variety of vehicles, everything from the ‘splitties’ of yesterday to the brand spanking new ID range; Beetles, Polos, Golfs and anything else sporting the iconic Volkswagen badge.

Gates open Friday for weekend camping with a line-up of evening entertainment ‘The 80’s band’ performing the decade classics and Indie live band ‘Last laugh Lane’ covering anthems from the 00’s, so you can boogie the night away.

The action begins on Saturday with the track opening for VW only ‘Run What Ya Brung’ allowing owners to unleash their vehicles on the quarter mile drag strip. Be blown away by the fiery Jet Bus, Oklahoma Willy and Jet Car, Fireforce 5, who’s ear-splitting power is equivalent to 10,000hp!

There’ll be more thrills over in the Live Action Arena with mega car-crushing Monster Truck Podzilla and professional drifting trio, Team Maximum Lock, shredding tyres with style!

There’s plenty to get involved with. Enter the R/C drag racing competition, submit a team for Action Olympics or perhaps take a bid in the Charity Auction and grab yourself a bargain. For the kids Children VWorld hosts a circus workshop, action wheels, face painting and giant inflatables. Also, ‘The Love Bug’ movie will be showing on the big screen for movie night.

Sunday hosts the popular Autoglym Show & Shine competition. So, if you’re a proud VW owner, don’t miss it, register your pride and joy for the chance to win a trophy and prize!

In true VW Action style, the fancy dress theme is the highlight of Saturday evenings. So, dust off your lederhosen, fill up your steins and dust off your dancing shoes for Oktoberfest! The Germanic jamboree will be headlined by ‘The Oomparty Band’ on Saturday night, combining their Bavarian brass stylings with unique covers of huge club classics, noughties dance music and thigh-slapping throwback anthems.

Part of a VW club? Camp together by booking into the Club Camping area (minimum 10 cars) or proudly display your cars in the Car/Club Display area and put on a show, where you could win ‘Best Club Display’.

Free on-site camping with all multi-day tickets. Electric hook-up available. Kids under 5 go free!
