Prehistoric Takeover: Dinosaurs set to roar into Swansgate this February Half-Term
This February half-term, Swansgate Shopping Centre in Wellingborough is transporting visitors back millions of years with Stomp, Roar & Explore, an immersive dinosaur experience designed for explorers of all ages.
From February 13th to February 22nd, the centre will be transformed into a prehistoric land featuring a life-size trail, rare photo opportunities, and a live "dino-handling" session on the 17th of February.
The Great Dinosaur Trail
Running throughout the entire half-term break, families can take part in the Stomp, Roar & Explore Trail. Aspiring palaeontologists are invited to hunt for hidden prehistoric clues located across the shopping centre. Those who successfully complete the trail will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win an exciting dinosaur-themed reward.
Live Event: The Dino Control Centre
The excitement reaches its peak on Tuesday, 17th February, from 11am to 3pm. For one day only, Swansgate will host the Dino Control Centre, a free interactive hub where visitors can:
- Meet and interact with adorable baby dinosaurs.
- Enrol in Dino Handler Training to learn the ropes of prehistoric care.
- Assist with "medical check-ups" and witness baby dinosaurs hatching in real-time.
In addition to the trail and live event, a giant dinosaur egg photo station will be located within the centre. Visitors who snap a photo and share it on social media will have the chance to win a special dinosaur-themed bundle, perfect for keeping the adventure going at home.
"We are excited to bring a sense of wonder and adventure to Wellingborough this half-term," says Fiona Stevens, Marketing and Tenant Liaison Coordinator. "Stomp, Roar & Explore is more than just an event; it’s an opportunity for families to create lasting memories while enjoying everything the centre has to offer."
