Muddy Waters’ son Morganfield to play

The eldest son of legendary blues-man Muddy Waters headlines The Castle Theatre on Wednesday.

As the son of the King of Chicago blues, Mud Morganfield’s powerful and potent voice combines a deep emotional resonance and good old-fashioned swagger.

The show will include some of Muddy’s greatest hits alongside Mud’s own original material.

Morganfield’s 2014 album For Pops was a tribute to his father and together with Thunderbirds frontman Kim Wilson, saw him make a personal statement about his roots.

Despite countless nominations at the Blues Music Awards and a growing fan base, Morganfield is taking his surging popularity in his stride.

Mud Morganfield plays the Wellingborough venue on Wednesday, May 6.
