Improv Comedy workshops aim to build confidence

Northampton residents looking for a fun, creative way to spend an evening now have the chance to join a brand-new Improv Comedy Drop-In Workshop, launching this week.
Designed for absolute beginners as well as those with some stage experience, the workshop promises a relaxed, no-pressure environment where participants can boost confidence, sharpen quick-thinking skills, and—most importantly—have a good laugh.
Sessions feature a mix of improv games, skill-building exercises, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people.
The experienced teacher will guide the group, making sure everyone feels supported and engaged.
The first session is completely free, with future drop-ins priced at just £10 for two hours of comedy, connection, and creativity with reductions for those on a low income .
“No experience is necessary,” the organisers say. “Just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to try something new.”
The workshops take place at Alliston Gardens Community Centre ,2 Adelaide St, Northampton NN2 6AR from 7pm-9pm and are run by Jen Kenny of local Improv group Canny Funny who can be contacted through their socials ( Facebook and Instagram- CanyFunnyImprov)
