Homelium Northampton partners with Age UK Northamptonshire to help older people stay warm this winter

Homelium Care Northampton is proud to announce a new partnership with Age UK Northamptonshire to deliver two special Caring Through the Cold community events, aimed at supporting vulnerable older people during the cold winter months.
As part of Homelium’s Caring Through the Cold campaign, the events will focus on warmth, wellbeing and connection, with cosy blankets being handed out to older people in the local community who may be more at risk during winter.
The two events will take place at:
- Monday, January 19 at 2pm-4pm - Bethany Homestead, Kingsthorpe
- Friday, January 23 at 12:30pm -2:30pm - Cripps House, Roade

Winter can be particularly challenging for older people, with cold homes increasing the risk of illness, falls and isolation. Through this partnership, Homelium and Age UK Northamptonshire hope to raise awareness of these risks while offering practical support and a warm, friendly environment where people can connect and access advice.
Roger Harris, Sales and Marketing Manager at Age UK Northamptonshire, said: “It is always a pleasure to work with other organisations, such as Homelium Care, who are organising these two events in Northamptonshire to help older people stay warm in winter. We hope that the events are well supported by the local community.”
Homelium’s Caring Through the Cold campaign was successfully launched last winter and is returning due to its positive impact on older people and their families. Alongside blanket giveaways, the campaign also focuses on reducing loneliness, encouraging community check-ins and supporting family carers who may be struggling during the colder months.
Aude N’Tandou, regional home care manager at Homelium Northampton added: “These events are about more than just warmth, they’re about showing older people that they’re not alone. Partnering with Age UK Northamptonshire allows us to reach more people in the community and offer comfort, reassurance and practical help when it’s needed most.”
Homelium Care provides high-quality, person-centred home care across Northamptonshire, supporting older people to remain safe, warm and independent in their own homes. The company also offers free care consultations and two hours of free respite care for family carers who may need a break.
The team hopes the events will be well attended and encourage local residents to look out for older neighbours and loved ones throughout the winter.
