Homelium Northampton hosts “Ask Homelium” advice stands to support local families considering care

Residents across Northamptonshire are being invited to drop in and have their questions about home care answered this March, as Homelium Northampton hosts two free community information events at local libraries.
The local home care provider will be holding its “Ask Homelium” stands on:
Wednesday 4th March, 11am–1pm at Brixworth Library
Thursday 19th March, 10am–12pm at Duston Library
The sessions are open to anyone who would like to learn more about care at home, whether for themselves, a parent, partner or loved one.
The events are designed to offer informal, no-pressure conversations about what home care involves, how it works and how it could support individuals to remain independent in their own homes. Visitors can simply pop in, have a chat and ask any questions before making any decisions about starting care.
Many families are unsure where to begin when exploring care options. From understanding funding and local authority support to knowing the difference between personal care, companionship, respite or more complex care needs, the process can often feel overwhelming.
Homelium Northampton hopes these stands will make clear, friendly advice more accessible within the community.
Aude, Care Manager at Homelium Northampton, said: “We know that arranging care can feel like a big and sometimes emotional step. Often people aren’t sure what support is available or whether home care is the right option. Our Ask Homelium stands are about opening that conversation in a relaxed setting. There’s no obligation, just honest advice, guidance and the chance to ask questions.”
Home care can support older adults and vulnerable individuals with day-to-day tasks such as personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, companionship and specialist care needs, helping them stay safe and independent at home for longer.
By hosting the events within local libraries, Homelium aims to provide a comfortable and familiar environment where people can seek information at their own pace.
No appointment is necessary. Residents are encouraged to drop in between 11am and 1pm at Brixworth Library and 10am-12pm Duston Library.
For those unable to attend, the Homelium Northampton team also offers free consultations for anyone wanting to explore care options further.
