Back to the 80s for a night at the museum

Northampton’s iconic Museum & Art Gallery will be transformed into a retro dancefloor this Easter as The Lewis Foundation invites everyone to celebrate a decade of supporting adult cancer patients with a special 80s Night Fundraiser.
Taking place on 5 April 2026, from 6pm to 10pm, the event promises an unforgettable evening of music, nostalgia and fundraising, all set within the unique surroundings of the museum.
Guests can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with classic 80s hits, as DJ Lee Lewis takes to the decks to deliver a soundtrack of iconic tunes guaranteed to get everyone on the dancefloor. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the theme, with a prize awarded on the night for the best 80s outfit.
Tickets are priced at £15 per person, with every ticket helping The Lewis Foundation continue its vital work providing free gift packs and support to adult cancer patients in hospitals across Northamptonshire and beyond. All drinks purchased during the evening from The Link Café inside the museum will also contribute directly to the charity’s fundraising efforts.

The event forms part of a wider programme of activities marking The Lewis Foundation’s 10-year anniversary in April 2026, celebrating a decade of bringing comfort, dignity and human connection to people undergoing cancer treatment.
Lorraine Lewis, CEO and co-founder of The Lewis Foundation, said: “Reaching our 10-year anniversary is an incredibly special milestone for us, and we wanted to celebrate it in a way that brings people together while continuing to support those who need us most. Our 80s Night Fundraiser is all about fun, community and making a real difference. Every ticket sold and every drink purchased helps us continue delivering free gift packs to adult cancer patients, offering comfort during some of the most difficult times in their lives. We would love as many people as possible to join us, dress up, dance and celebrate with us.”
The Lewis Foundation is encouraging local residents, businesses and supporters to come along, share the event and help make the evening a huge success.
