Brown was the longest-serving player at Diamonds, having been part of the team that played in their first senior match when they entered the United Counties League back in 2012.

The left-back made over 300 appearances for the club as he was a regular in their climb up the divisions but is now moving on after eight years with Diamonds.

In a brief statement, Diamonds said: “Long-serving defender, Sam, has left the club.

“We would like to wish him all the best for the future.”
