Slimmers from Corby and Kettering join the Big Clothes Throw for charity
Members of Slimming World groups in Corby and Kettering are taking part in the Big Slimming World Clothes Throw by donating all the clothes they have slimmed out of to Cancer Research UK.
But it is not just members who can get involved, anyone is welcome to join in with the challenge to collect as many bags of clothes, toys, books and other items to boost funds for the cancer charity.

Each filled bag could raise up to £30 with Gift Aid when clothes are recycled or re-sold.
Cancer Research UK also accepts damaged clothes which can be turned into rags, jewellery, belts, bags, ties and shoes.
Sonia Mathieson, who runs several Slimming World groups in Corby, said: “Last year across our Corby and Kettering teams we raised over 200 bags, which is just fantastic.

“The Corby team are more than thrilled this year to have Cancer Research’s second largest store to hold the event.
“It means that we have been able to have a stand in the shop for two weeks and members and non-members are being very generous.
“We are hoping to double the amount raised this year.”
Since the Big Slimming World Clothes Throw was launched in 2013, Slimming World members have raised £3.8 million for Cancer Research UK by donating the clothes which are too big for them.
