Police helicopter helping officers with search for suspect in Irchester

The police helicopter has been used in Irchester this afternoon
Police are searching an area of Irchester to try and find a suspect.

A spokesman for Northants Police confirmed that a number of officers and the force helicopter were involved in a search near to Farndish Road in Irchester this afternoon.

But the spokesman was unable to confirm what the person they were searching for was wanted in connection with.

A number of people have commented on social media about the police activity, including one eyewitness saying officers have been searching the area for about an hour.
