A new principal will be taking over at a Raunds school when pupils return after the summer holidays.
Jay Davenport will be taking the helm at Manor School Sports College in Raunds from the start of the new school year.
He will be taking over from principal Linda Brooks.
A statement by Dudley Hughes JP, chairman of the Manor Learning Trust, said: “The directors of the Manor Learning Trust are very pleased to announce that following a full and robust recruitment process, Mr Jay Davenport has been appointed to the post of principal at Manor School Sports College.
“Mr Davenport is currently working with The Education Fellowship and will begin his new role on 1 September 2017.
“Mr Davenport performed extremely strongly over the two days demonstrating a passionate commitment to the future development of Manor School Sports College and its contribution to the local community.
“He also brings significant experience and a strong determination to ensure all students achieve their potential.
“This appointment means Mrs Linda Brooks can take up her appointment as chief executive officer of the Manor Learning Trust as planned on 1 September 2017.
“I am confident that under their leadership both Manor School and the Manor Learning Trust will go from strength to strength and achieve even more success over the next few years.”
The school in Mountbatten Way was rated as good by Ofsted at its most recent inspection in May 2016.
