Rape arrest after armed police deployed to Kettering
A man is in custody on suspicion of rape after armed police were deployed to Kettering yesterday (Sunday).
The 31-year-old from Wellingborough was arrested at an address in Kettering at about 2pm, with a dog unit also in attendance.
A police spokesman said he was arrested on suspicion of rape, stalking, possession of a knife and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
He remains in custody this morning.
