Magistrates banned a driver for six months and landed him with a huge bill after he was caught doing more than twice the legal speed limit on the A6 in Northamptonshire.

Officers from the county's Safer Roads Team snapped Esteban Reina clocking 129mph in his BMW on the single carriageway stretch of the Rothwell-Desborough bypass during the first coronavirus lockdown back in May.

The limit on that stretch of road is 60mph.
