The Damned warm up for Royal Albert Hall show at Roadmender

Punks stalwarts The Damned warmed up for tonight's epic three hour Royal Albert Hall show in London with a set of almost equal magnitude at the Roadmender on Wednesday.

The band is playing a 40th anniversary show in the capital and treated a sold out Northampton venue to a set of almost 30 songs.

Opening with Grimly Fiendish, singer Dave Vanian, guitarist Captain Sensible keyboard player Monty Oxymoron, drummer Pinch and bassist Stu West took fans on a career spanning journey which featured the likes of Democracy, Twisted Nerve, Stranger On The Town, Smash It Up, iconic punk single New Rose and Noise Noise Noise.
