Saints release short statement regarding return of fans to Franklin's Gardens
The Champions Cup opener against Bordeaux-Bégles on Friday, December 11 is set to be the first fixture at the Gardens that will not be behind closed doors since Saints lost to Saracens in February.
It was confirmed by the Government on Thursday morning that Northampton has been placed in Tier Two of the coronavirus restrictions that will come into effect when the national lockdown ends next Tuesday.

Hide AdAnd Saints released the following statement on Thursday afternoon...
"Today’s government announcement revealed that Northampton Borough Council will be placed in Tier 2 of the local restriction system from Wednesday, December 2.
"Northampton Saints understands that this classification means that the club will be able to host up to 2,000 supporters for the Heineken Champions Cup clash against Bordeaux-Bégles on Friday, December 11 (5.30pm kick off).
"The club will communicate further information regarding the fixture next week, including details of a ticket ballot process for Season Ticket Holders and other supporters."
