Super Steelmen hit eight while Diamonds lose on the road
The big win sent the Steelmen into second place in the Evo-Stik League South Division One Central with just goal difference separating them from leaders Bromsgrove Sporting.
Jordon Crawford set the ball rolling with a fine strike after just seven minutes and he doubled the advantage with a tap-in after good work from Jordan Francis and Ben Bradshaw.

Hide AdThe hosts pulled one back with a George Seacole header but Corby were 4-1 up at the break thanks to further goals from Joel Carta and Bradshaw.
Bradshaw completed his brace to make it 5-1 and it only got better from there.
Elliot Sandy got in on the act from the penalty spot after Jake Bettles had been fouled, an own-goal gave the Steelmen their seventh and then Sandy rounded things off late on.
Corby will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Whitworth in the first round of the NFA Hillier Senior Cup.

Hide AdAFC Rushden & Diamonds slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Royston Town in the Evo-Stik League South Premier Division Central.
They fell behind to a set-piece with Adam Murray heading the hosts into a first-half lead.
Diamonds levelled the game up in the second half when Jack Bowen tapped home from close-range at the second attempt.
But Royston’s response was swift and they regained the lead when Sam Corcoran found the net after they had hit the post and Ben Heath had made a save.

Hide AdDiamonds put the pressure on after that and Liam Dolman saw a header tipped wide by the home goalkeeper while Zak Reynolds was narrowly off target after a good run into the area.
Andy Peaks’ side return to action in midweek when they head to Peterborough Northern Star in the NFA Hillier Senior Cup.
