And the 25-year-old could now earn his first Test cap, should Lancaster opt to mix things up against the Pumas.
The indications are that the England boss will stick with a centre pairing of Billy Twelvetrees and Joel Tomkins, though that duo misfired in last weekend’s win against Australia.
And Burrell will hope he can be the man to solve the midfield problem.

Hide AdCorbisiero will also be eager to play his part against Argentina, having recovered from a knee injury.
The loosehead missed Saints’ games against Ospreys and Saracens and England’s Wallabies win, but with Saracens star Mako Vunipola injured, the Northampton man could start on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Saints’ LV= Cup opponents this weekend, Gloucester, have been boosted by the news that three of their players have been released in time for the game.
Freddie Burns, Matt Kvesic and Henry Trinder could all play their part in the Franklin’s Gardens clash.
