Temporary access arrangements in place at KGH this weekend
The arrangements will be in place from 6am on Saturday (March 18) until 2pm on Sunday (March 19).
Essential road works are scheduled to take place on the road leading from the mini-roundabout down to the entrance to Outpatients and A&E – this road will be closed to vehicles from 6am on Saturday and will reopen on Sunday afternoon after it has been resurfaced and inspected.

Traffic marshalls will be on duty from 6am on Saturday to help redirect traffic and pedestrians.
Pedestrians wishing to access A&E and Outpatients from Car Park A will be directed by temporary signage to the footpath close to Warren Hill House that leads down and into the A&E/Outpatient entrance.
Pedestrians wishing to access the main hospital will be directed to leave Car Park A via the new ramp opposite Rockingham Wing.

A KGH spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience that these temporary works may cause and ask that patients and visitors bear with us over this weekend.
“If your need for A&E is not an emergency we strongly advise that you seek alternative treatment through your GP, pharmacist, 111 or Corby Urgent Care Centre.”
The work is taking place as part of the hospital’s plans to improve traffic flows and safety across the site.
It will result in the establishment of a “red route” for ambulances through the site to A&E and ensure a swifter, safer journey for emergency patients.
