Students '˜tri' for success
The small team of events management students from the University of Northampton have teamed up with the Rotary Club to host the event at Billing Aquadrome on Sunday, May 15.
They are hoping that about 100 people will participate and there are races of different lengths to cater for triathletes of any ability.

Hide AdLauren Shepherd, one of the organisers, said: “We are third year events management students. We have organised smaller events before but nothing on this kind of scale, but so far it is progressing really well and we are enjoying it.”
The team have already sold £600-worth of tickets.
Lauren added: “The Rotary Club came to speak to us about the event and asked if we could help out. They held one last year but wanted it to be even bigger this time around.
“As well as the triathlon there will be a family fun day. We are planning to have bouncy castles and inflatable obstacle courses along with an array of other family activities.”
Money raised through the event is being donated to national charity Meningitis Now and Northampton-based youth charity The Lowdown.
