Wellingborough Read Easy donation helps fund new chapter
Read Easy Wellingborough received £1,200 from the Wellingborough-based Northamptonshire Province Royal Antediluvian Order Of Buffaloes Club (RAOB) as part of their annual giving.
Sandra Lewis from Read Easy, Wellingborough said: "The RAOB kindly presented a cheque for £1,200 to Read Easy Wellingborough after having them as one of their chosen charities for the year. This will help fund more books for readers learning to read, and training further coaches.

Hide Ad"Read Easy offer adults who struggle or are unable to read, the chance to learn to read on a one-to-one basis. This is offered free in sessions of half an hour each week."
Formed in March 2018, Read Easy, Wellingborough is part of the countrywide Read Easy UK, to adults with reading in two half-hour sessions a week on a one-to-one basis.
'Coaches', reading teachers, are paired with 'readers', adults who struggle with reading, and using teaching materials provided by the charity.
Last year Read Easy Wellingborough successfully applied for lottery funding to hold a community fair highlighting charities and volunteer-run organisations in Wellingborough, Rushden and the surrounding areas.

Hide AdThe charity has invited other voluntary groups to join them at a community showcase event.
Sandra Lewis from Read Easy, Wellingborough added: "The community fair is for people who would like a stall to highlight their charity or service.
"It's completely free to have a stall and it will allow the public see the voluntary organisations that are working in the area.
"We want to highlight all the charities and volunteer services in a one-stop shop."
