Wellingborough cancer charity signs up sporting superstar to fight in their corner
A Wellingborough-based childhood cancer charity's new patron has vowed to fight in their corner to raise their profile.
Light welter-weight boxer Chantelle Cameron, who is from Northampton, got involved with the neuroblastoma charity after she had attended a number of the charity's fundraising dinners and had met charity co-founder and chairman Chris Curry.

Hide AdChantelle said: "Chris asked me to become a patron. I'll be raising the charity's profile by wearing their logo on my shorts during my fights."
The Niamh's Next Step logo NNS.ORG.UK will be seen by a boxing fans worldwide when Chantelle, 28, takes on Jessica McCaskill in the USA at the end of March.
Niamh's Next Step charity was founded after Chris' daughter Niamh was diagnosed with neuroblastoma - a rare cancer that affects children's nerve cells.
She died in May 2012 after an 18-month battle with the disease at the age of five years.

"It will be the first time our logo will have been worn by a female boxer and it will be seen by millions of people. It's all about raising the profile and keeping the momentum rolling.
"Our team at Niamh's Next Step have been incredibly fortunate and humbled by the huge support we have been provided by some incredible people."
Chantelle joins a list of sports stars and celebrities including rugby players Stephen Myler and Christian Day and world champion boxer Billy Joe Saunders.
She added: "I would encourage everyone local to attend one of the Niamh's Next Step events. What they are doing is amazing."
