Weldon neighbours celebrate Postcode Lottery win

Five households in Weldon are celebrating today (Wednesday) after their lucky postcode bagged them £1,000.

The neighbours in Church View, just off High Street, netted the cash when NN17 3LF was announced as a daily prize winner by the People's Postcode Lottery.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “What great news to start off your day!

"Congratulations to our winners, I hope they enjoy their winnings.”

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500m to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

The Weldon windfall is the latest win in the north of the county for players of the lottery.

In March five people in Newbury Close in Rushden each won £1,000, followed by two people in Corby's Elizabeth Street two weeks later.
