Kettering care home residents share Easter card joy with nursery neighbours

A Kettering care home has chosen the winning entries in cross-generational Easter card competition organised for nearby nursery children.
As part of the Easter celebrations at Claremont Parkway care home, residents ran an Easter card competition and invited local nurseries to take part.

Hide AdYoungsters from Kettering's Busy Bees Nursery and Windermere Day Nursery made cards to enter into the competition judged by the residents.
Senior general manager Becky Aldred said: "Our residents have had a great time choosing the winners. They love seeing all the children’s art work.
"The nurseries have been a huge support to our residents during the last year, seeing the residents smiling and enjoying the work they have done for us is heart-warming.
"The children bring so much joy to our residents and we send a massive thank you to all of the children for their great work and support."

Hide AdThe residents picked winners for first place, second place and third place prizes with prizes bought with gift vouchers provided by Karen Bevan, the member and community relations officer for the Co-operative.
Jayne, resident ambassador at Claremont Parkway, said: “All the cards were so good, it was difficult to choose a winner, they should all win first place.”
Claremont Parkway, run by Barchester Healthcare, provides nursing care, residential care and respite care.
