Hide AdWorkers from several companies turned up this morning to find the building inaccessible.
Eight fire crews were on the scene of the blaze over night after the fire started at about 10.30pm. Their work appears to have saved the building from major structural damage.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus went into the building to try to fight the fire. Most of the damage seems to be confined to one end of the building.
Investigators were on the scene this morning to try to work out how smoke spread so quickly through the whole building.

Hide AdOne business owner and former soldier Lee Traynor runs a military engraving firm from the building.
He said: “I’ve got £30,000 of equipment in there. I’ve not been able to get in yet to see if it’s ok but it’s at the other end of the building so I’m hoping it’s not too bad.
”We engrave things for the military, so if they have a function we’d engrave whiskey glasses, that sort of thing. So we’ve already obviously been hit by coronavirus because there haven’t been any functions.”
Windows at the front of the building had recently been replaced in a major improvement scheme.
