Kettering pub could be converted into flats
The old Melton Arms in Melton Street has been vacant for the past two years.
It was advertised for rental but plans have now gone in to convert it into four living spaces after a ‘lack of serious interest’.

“It will also benefit for key workers with local public transport routes and within 10-minute walking distance from the town centre.
“The proposal within this property is considered to be entirely appropriate to this road location, as this is one of the branches off the main street (Rockingham Road) to the town centre.
“The proposal for the creation of three flats and one dwelling will not have any adverse impact on the character of the area.

A decision is expected by April 12.
