Kettering couple can't wait for first Mother's Day after 12 years and five rounds of IVF
Phil and Lucy Westley welcomed Lacey Megan and Suranne Ashleigh into the world on the day after Mothering Sunday last year, which fell on March 6, meaning they’ve had to wait for more than a year for the celebration.
Phil, 44, says it will be an incredible and emotional feeling.
He said: “My wife and I had been trying for 12 years.

“It took five rounds of IVF but we finally got there and it was such a special moment.
“We just missed having them in time for the last Mother’s Day so this will be an incredible and emotional feeling for Lucy.”
The twins were born eight weeks early and were delivered differently.

Phil added that for him and Lucy, 35, life hasn’t been the same since.
He said: “There’s not a moment to ourselves any more but we love it.
“They are a right little handful but this is what we have always wanted.
“We just can’t wait for what the future holds.”
