Cuts at Northamptonshire Avon offices mean 120 roles will be cut in reality, staff claim
Avon announced this week there would be 70 redundancies at its sites in Northamptonshire in a move to save costs.
But staff who have contacted the Chron say they have been told there will be a total of 75 redundancies - 39 its UK head office in Northampton and 36 at its Corby factory.

Hide AdIt is also understood that a total of 126 roles will be lost as posts deliberately left unfilled are being scrapped altogether and other staff have chosen to resign.
Most departments have been affected, including HR, finance and support roles. In Corby, an entire layer of management has been removed.
A member of staff said: “We were told that the cost savings they are looking at will be over a three-year period.
“What that means for job losses over that time, we can only speculate.”

Hide AdAvon revealed last month it was closing its New York headquarters and moving its global operation to the UK.
However staff who talked to the Chron said the relocation would involve a handful of United States staff moving to the UK, some of whom will be based at an office near Heathrow for access to the remaining US operation.
A member of staff said: “The company has always looked after us and it’s continued to do so during the redundancies. But a lot of people are quite excited to leave.
“There have been job losses of two here and 10 there for years, so this has been coming for a long time.”
An Avon spokesman did not respond to questions about the numbers of lost roles.
