Police officers are appealing for witnesses after two separate incidents in the Shire Lodge area of Corby which targeted vulnerable members of the community.
Two males offered to clean the guttering of a house in Fyfe Road for a fixed fee, before increasing the price after claiming that the guttering needed repaired and a bird’s nest removed on Thursday, July 9.

She refused, so they took the original amount and left.
The day before, it is believed the same offenders had called at an address in Tamar Green and told the occupant the roof needed repaired and a bird’s nest removed.
The offenders gave the woman a price, but she told them she didn’t have all the money.
Once again the offenders offered to take the woman to a cashpoint.

They can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
A 20-year-old man from Irchester and a 15-year-old boy from Wellingborough have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and fraud by false representation, and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
