Thug slashed 14-year-old's coat while walking near Racecourse at 8.15am

Detectives are hunting a teenager following a shocking knife attack on a schoolboy near the Racecourse in Northampton.

The teen, believed to be around 15-year-old, was on of three males who approached the victim while he was walking along Kettering Road between 8.15am an 8.30am last Thursday (May 13).

One of the trio punched the 14-year-old in the face before pulling out a green knife and slashing the victim's coat.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the force is treating the incident as an attempted stabbing, adding: "All three males ran off after the attack, which could have resulted in serious injury to the victim.

"The male who punched the victim and used the knife is described as around 15 years of age, 5ft 9in and was wearing an all-black tracksuit.

"He also wore blue surgical gloves and a blue facemask, and was carrying a Louis Vuitton brown bag.

"The other two males are around the same age and were also wearing face masks.
