Ram-raiders smash into Kettering shop

Currys PC World at the Belgrave Retail Park, just off Northfield Avenue, is closed after being broken into at about 12.50am today (Tuesday).
A white van was used to take the bollards from the ground - with one still left outside the store this morning - before criminals ram-raided the shop front using the van.

Hide AdIt took the doors off their hinges and security shutters off the walls as the perpetrators entered and stole six TVs and an unknown quantity of Fitbits.
No description of those behind the ram-raid was available and no arrests have been made.
The shop has since been boarded up because of the severity of the damage.
A sign on the front says: "Unfortunately this store is unable to open today. We apologise for any inconvenience this may a (sic) cause.
"We will reopen as soon as possible."

Hide AdA spokesman for Dixon Carphone, which owns Currys PC World, said: "We experienced a break-in overnight at our Kettering Currys PC World with Carphone Warehouses store.
"The safety of our colleagues and customers is of paramount importance and we’re thankful no-one was injured.
"We’re working with police to support their investigations.
"The store remains closed today and we apologise to our customers for any inconvenience while we assess the damage."
