Northamptonshire Police stop suspects making a clean getaway on A43 with stash of dishwasher tablets

Stunned police stopped a vehicle on the A43 in Northamptonshire believed to have been used in a series of high value retail thefts and recovered a haul of dishwasher tablets and LEGO!
Officers from the county's Armed Response Vehicle team also seized 16 jars of coffee, packs of dishwasher tabs, washing liquid and candles from the Vauxhall Zafira after it lit up Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems.

Hide AdA 40-year-old woman and two men, aged 38 and 32, were all arrested on suspicion of theft.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "Our ARV officers intercepted a vehicle at about 3pm on Wednesday (October 7) with an ANPR marker which stated it was used in high value retail thefts.
"The vehicle, which had travelled from the Thames Valley area, was stopped in a layby on the A43 by our officers who searched the car and found multiple items in the boot which they suspected to be stolen.
"These items included jars of coffee, Yankee candles, Fairy washing liquid and Lego."
