Northampton man charged after more than £40,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine uncovered in house

This was just after 31 wraps of suspected Class A drugs were found in a BMW.

A 45-year-old man was charged with drugs offences after Northamptonshire police carried out a stop and search in Horsemarket, Northampton yesterday (November 25).

A grey BMW 5 series was stopped by officers in Horsemarket at around 3.20pm and was found to contain 32 wraps of suspected Class A drugs, a spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said.

Police then recovered half a kilogram of cocaine and a quantity of cannabis from a nearby house - the total of which, estimated to be worth more than £40,000.

Ziso Berouka, 45, of Lower Hester Street, Semilong, Northampton, was charged with Possession of Class A and B drugs in connection with the incident.

He has been remanded into custody and will appear before judges at Northampton Crown Court on December 23.
