It was found by police yesterday after a tip-off

A man has been charged after a cannabis factory worth up to an estimated £100,000 was found in Kettering yesterday (Wednesday).

Acting on a tip-off from the community, police raided the criminal set-up at a house in St John's Road on the Ise Lodge estate at about 10.45am.

In total 119 plants were removed with the majority at the point where they would be harvested.

The plants were spread out over three bedrooms and a garage and were worth an estimated £80,000 to £100,000.

A suspect has since been charged with being concerned in the production of a class B drug.

He is 21-year-old Yrgen Velaj, of no fixed address.

Velaj is due to face magistrates in Wellingborough today (Thursday).
