The car was set alight on Warkton Lane last night

A car fire in Barton Seagrave is being treated as arson.

A purple Citroen C4 Picasso was set on fire yesterday (Sunday, September 6) at about 9.45pm in Warkton Lane in Barton Seagrave.

The car was seen to being driven dangerously in the area just before it was set alight.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service attended to put the flames out and police were called.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the incident was being treated as arson.
