Council investigating how boy came to fall and suffer severe injuries at Grosvenor Centre
Northampton Borough Council has begun a health and safety investigation at the Grosvenor Shopping Centre following an accident where a young boy was taken to hospital.
The incident happened at about 5.50pm on Saturday, March 4 at the Grosvenor Centre and a critical care car and ambulance were called to the scene.
A spokeswoman for Northampton Borough Council said: “As the health and safety enforcement authority for retail premises in Northampton, we are currently investigating this incident.”
The boy, who witnesses said was aged about seven, had fallen from a significant height near the Market Square end of the shopping centre near the Burton store.
