Businesses rally round to help out Kettering Sea Cadets
Last year the fire at Wicksteed Park caused devastation to the squadron.
A fundraising page was set up to help fund the replacement of some of the items lost, but they are still without a place to store them.

Michelle Cade, who is organising the work, said: “As a result [of the fire], Wrightmans Construction have got together to assist with the refurbishment and general maintenance of their main building in Kettering whilst the new boat shed is being built externally.
“This will allow for temporary storage of their new equipment.
“We are doing this out of our own time and are asking for no money.”
With the promise of getting the cadets back on the water by April 1 and the celebration of the unit’s 75th anniversary, things are beginning to look up for the Kettering Sea Cadets.
