A spokesman for Northants Fire and Rescue Service said: "The incident happened in Cotterstock at 9am this morning when a man in BMW 1 Series was rescued by the fire service after becoming trapped in flood water.
"The road was closed between Cotterstock and Tansor while the rescue took place."
It comes just after firefighters helped rescue a man and a woman after their vehicle became stranded in flood water in Aldwincle yesterday.
