Corby’s travelling historic market is back for a second festive visit
A popular historical travelling market packed with unusual and unique gifts and treasures makes a welcome return to Corby town centre this week following its first appearance last Christmas.
With such treats on offer as carved leather bags, chocolate-dipped bacon maple syrup jerky and beautiful marbled paper notebooks, this is a change to pick up some hand-made items that you really can’t find anywhere else.

The market, which will be located adjacent to the Willow Place car park in Elizabeth Street, will run from this Thursday (December 10) to Sunday (December 13), trading from 10am to 6pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 10am to 3pm on Sunday.
Organiser Martin Cowley said: “We believe a market should be more than simply a place to buy things.
”All our members are passionate about keeping history alive by offering a varied selection of traditional crafts, goods and demonstrations, while wearing historical clothing.

“A visit to our market is much more than just stocking up on Christmas gifts. The Travelling Historical Market is like an open gallery; a story told by interesting people througha wide variety of stalls.”
Following the second lockdown, all stores in Corby Town Centre and Willow Place have now reopened.
Some larger stores will be staying open late in the run-up to Christmas to enable customers to make up for lost time and to reduce overcrowding and the need to queue as they shop.
Social distancing measures are still in place and face coverings must be worn in all stores.
