Plaque dedicated to Corby people affected by Covid unveiled in rose garden
A plaque to commemorate all of those those who have suffered during the Covid pandemic has been unveiled on Corby's East Lloyds estate.
Civic leaders from the unitary and town councils and members of the emergency services were at the unveiling which took place at the rose garden on the corner of Pen Green Lane which has recently undergone renovation by local volunteers.

Hide AdDennis Taylor, of East Lloyds Community Association, organised for the plaque to be put in place and Mayor of Corby Lawrence Ferguson and Cllr Mark Pengelly gave speeches to mark the occasion.
It reads: 'Dedicated to those members of our community who have suffered because of the Covid pandemic'
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 110 deaths in Corby from Covid-19. At one point earlier this year, the town had the highest case rate in England for nearly several weeks.
