More than 20 individuals and representatives from various organisations took part in the first Wellingborough Community Resilience Forum on Friday.

One Wellingborough Plus follows the success of the One Wellingborough project run between the Victoria Centre and Glamis Hall to help anyone who has been vulnerable, shielding or isolated during the pandemic.
With financial support from Wellingborough Council, the project has helped hundreds of people across the town.
One Wellingborough Plus is hoping that all the support and community spirit shown during the pandemic can be continued as people try to move forward with their lives following Covid.

Hide AdThe main aim of the One Wellingborough Plus Community Resilience Project is to bring people and groups from across the borough together.
They want to hear people’s concerns and ideas, see what practical steps can be taken to help meet some of the emerging needs, and provide some coordination and direction where possible.
Marion Turner-Hawes, manager of the Victoria Centre, said the forum is not just for the town but for the whole of the borough and they are keen for more people to get involved in the coming weeks and months.
Following the success of the first event, it is hoped that the forums will take place every fortnight.
