Another bubble affected as Kettering school confirms further Covid case

Another bubble at Kettering's Bishop Stopford School has been affected following confirmation of a further Covid case.
The Northants Telegraph reported yesterday (Monday) that some students were self-isolating after an individual tested positive for coronavirus.

Hide AdA letter went out to parents on Friday informing them of the situation and within days, a further letter about another case has gone out.
In the latest letter sent out to parents today (Tuesday) and seen by the Northants Telegraph, headteacher Jill Silverthorne said: "You will recall that we sent a letter last Friday with regard to a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school.
"We have since been informed of a further case in a different ‘bubble’.
"The information sent last Friday pertains to this case too.

Hide Ad"We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England, who have asked me to reiterate those messages.
"The small number of students who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have been contacted and the necessary arrangements made.
"The school remains open and your child/ren should attend as normal if they remain well."
Last month, the Headlands secondary school was one of several to notify parents of a positive result just two weeks into the start of the academic year.

Hide AdAt a press conference on Friday Northamptonshire's director of public health Lucy Wightman said the rate of outbreaks in the county's schools has been "much better" than anticipated a month ago.
