Vintage fair offers crafts and shopping

A VINTAGE fair visits Towcester on Sunday, promising “old-fashioned fun” for all the family.

A Most Marvellous Place to shop, based in Kettering Road, Northampton, has now spread its wings to a site at The Bell Plantation in Towcester.

And it will host a vintage fair on the green near its new store from 11am on Sunday.

Among the activities on offer are craft workshops, a vintage market, art sales and children’s activities, such as a bouncy castle and old-fashioned games.

There will also be a cafe, barbecue and music, which includes a pianist, jazz and an accordion player.

Gilley Burgess (pictured above), co-owner of A Most Marvellous Place to Shop, said: “There will be lots of retro and vintage crafts to try.

“There is plenty of opportunity for people to have a go at things they have never tried before and explore their creative side.

“People will be able to try things like silkscreen paintings and leather workshops, ceramic painting and many other activities.

“There will also be plenty on offer for those who want to go shopping.

“There will be lots of old-fashioned fun for all the family.”

The event will finish at 4pm.

Stalls are available for £5 a day.
