RAF Wittering is featured in the trailer for the latest Mission: Impossible film, which stars Tom Cruise.
The actor is seen clinging to the side of a plane as it takes off from one of the runways at the base, just over the border in Cambridgeshire, at the end of the clip from Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation.
Known for performing all his own stunts, the daredevil visited the base in November to film scenes for his latest blockbuster.
He was photographed by several readers strapped to an Airbus A400M Atlas military transporter as it took off from a runway at RAF Wittering.
He was then filmed clinging to the plane while 5,000ft in the air.
At the time the film’s director Christopher McQuarrie tweeted a picture of the Airbus and the filming crew, adding: “Sincerest thanks to everyone at RAF Wittering, Pilot Ed Strongman and team #Airbus. #A400M #MI5 Diary.”
Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation is due for release in July.
The film also stars Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin and Paula Patton.
The previous film in the franchise, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, took almost £450m at box offices across the world.
