Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk comes together for Marvel’s Avengers Assemble.

When a dangerous new enemy threatens the safety of mankind, Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson), director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D, scours the globe in search of the ultimate team of superheroes.

Aided by fellow agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Fury recruits Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) to save the day.

At first, it proves difficult to get these strong personalities to meld, especially with Thor’s evil brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) causing mischief.

But evil must be vanquished and the heroes come together in humanity’s hour of greatest need under the direction of Joss Whedon.

Interestingly, he keeps the Avengers disjointed for most of the film, only bringing everyone together in the same location for the protracted final showdown to decide mankind’s fate.

It is showing at the Odeon Kettering today in 3D at 1.40pm, 3.10pm, 4.10pm, 5pm, 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.20pm, and in 2D at 2.10pm, 5.30pm and 8.50pm.
