Vampires rock to the future

Some of the best known rock anthems in the history of music will be performed as part of a futuristic musical which arrives at the Royal & Derngate on Sunday.

Vampires Rock is set in New York, 2030, which follows the evil impresario Baron Von Rockula’s efforts to tempt aspiring singer Pandora over to the legions of the undead.

Along the way a world-class band blasts out some hit songs such as We Will Rock You, Bat Out of Hell, Highway to Hell, Since You’ve Been Gone, Sweet Child of Mine, Total Eclipse of the Heart, I love Rock ‘n Roll and many more.

There will also be the chance for Northampton youngsters to perform in the musical as the show’s lead choreographer Chloe Bass is offering 20 youngsters aged 12 to 20 the opportunity to take part in a two-hour Thriller Masterclass between 3pm and 5pm on the day of the performance.

Participants will learn the full choreography and everything they need to know to perform on stage in the evening.
