Traditional nativity story performed at church

A retelling of the traditional nativity story will be the focus of a Christmas show arriving in Northampton this week.

Give it Back Mak! is a show put together by Riding Lights Theatre Company, currently touring the country.

As the story goes, the Lamb Chop Inn is full to bursting when Mak, the owner, puts up his No Vacancies sign. A young couple, whose car is stranded in the snow, knock anyway, and a story of desperate deeds, sheep in prams and glow-in-the-dark people unfolds.

With puppetry and story-telling, the show is said to be recommended for those aged five and over.

The play will be performed at Abington Avenue United Reformed Church on Friday, December 21, starting at 7pm. To book, ring 01604 604623. Individual tickets cost £5 and family tickets cost £10.
