Children’s favourite character The Gruffalo will make a return to Milton Keynes Theatre this week.
Tall Stories, the internationally acclaimed theatre company behind The Gruffalo, is set to return, bringing Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s captivating sequel to life in their musical stage adaptation, The Gruffalo’s Child.
One wild and windy night, the Gruffalo’s child ignores her father’s warning and tiptoes out into the snow. After all, the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist...does he?
Based on the award-winning picture book by Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, this stage adaptation is said to be “everything good children’s theatre should be.”
Ellie Bell, Tom Crook and Lesley Cook star in this tale, which follows hot on the heels of The Gruffalo’s sell-out tour.
The tour, which is said to be full of “songs, laughs and scary fun”, is recommended for children aged three and over, as well as their families.
The show will run at Milton Keynes Theatre from Tuesday, June 11 until Thursday, June 13. Performances will be held at 1.30pm and 4pm on the Tuesday and at 10.30am and 1.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
