With a TV and film career stretching back 60 years, it is not surprising that Joan Collins has quite a few interesting anecdotes to share.

She has stories to tell about the first time she met Hollywood legend Bette Davis, the time she did a screen test for the movie Cleopatra (a role eventually taken by Elizabeth Taylor) and plenty of tales about other screen icons such as Paul Newman.

And it will be these stories, told alongside clips taken from throughout her career, which will form the focus of the touring show One Night With Joan.

Joan will drop in to the Royal & Derngate in Northampton on Saturday, April 6, to perform a show which promises plenty of stories and secrets from one of the world’s most glamorous and intriguing personalities.

Joan’s acting career started when she was just nine years old and took on a West End role in Ibsen’s play A Doll’s House. By the age of 20 she was on a plane to Hollywood to set up a movie career.

Joan has appeared in many major movies and TV series but is still perhaps best known for playing Alexis Carrington in Dynasty, a character famed for her villainy as well as her glitz and glamour.

Tickets cost £32.50 or £30. The show starts at 8pm. To book, log on to www.royalandderngate.co.uk or ring 01604 624811.
